I grew up in Barron, Wisconsin. My aunt, uncle and parents built a cabin on Red Cedar Lake near Birchwood when I was very young. We spent almost every weekend at the lake, and I felt like I had the perfect childhood. My mother grew up in Eau Claire so choosing a college was easy. I selected WU-Eua Claire because it was a second home to me; I could be near my grandma and UW-Eau Claire had a great elementary education program. During the summer, I worked at Tagalong, part of the Stout estate located on beautiful Red Cedar Lake, with a golf course patterned after St. Andrews in Scotland. My first teaching job was in Bloomer where I met my husband, Butch. Then I began teaching kindergaren in New Auburn, retiring after 32 years of teaching. After 50 years of going to school, I wanted to try something new while I was still young enough. Real Estate was an easy choice. I've always been interested in the entire building process because my father is a builder and owns rental properties. My life experiences have given me an extensive knowledge of the area from Eau Claire, along Highway 53 to Bloomer and New Auburn, the gateway to the Blue Diamond area of lakes, to Birchwood, the Blue Gill Capital of the World. I feel privileged to live in vacation country! I pomise to bring the dedication and work ethic I exhibited in Teaching to you as my real estate client.
